I ♥ My Soldier.

Best friends can be hard to come by, but luckily I’ve made quite a few over my 20 years. My greatest find has definitely been Cheyenne – she’s been there for me since we met sophomore year in high school. We were in show choir stage crew and concert choir together that year. She also helped get me together with my fiancee that year! What a pal. 🙂

Why am I rambling on about her, you ask? Cheyenne is in the National Guard, as an Air Traffic Controller. She is also getting deployed to Kuwait in about… well, right now. Her departure ceremony was December 4th, and she will be in hardcore training for a month. After that she will leave for Kuwait. I am so proud of her and what she is doing for our country, but miss her already! So I wanted to do a post in honor of her and our friendship, and here it is. Feel free to admire all of my awesome picture editing skills and amazing filters. (I have some really cool ones from when I was 16 on there. I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy them.) (PS – Hint, hint…. that last part was a tad sarcastic 😉 .)

Everyone is jealous of a lady dressed up.

This was us in our choir outfits junior year. I was in show choir and she was in concert, but they actually combined our choirs for competition season and we got to match and sing next to each other!

I love this girl with my whole heart. It will be hard to go a year without her when she has lived and worked with me for the last year or so. I know she will come home safe and sound and I cannot wait for that! I love you, Cheye!
